Context-Aware Language Learning for the Real World

The Challenge

What we're trying to fix.

Current language apps serve general learners well but fail in high-stakes scenarios. Travelers, professionals, and heritage learners struggle to use generic apps in real-time situations, like ordering in a busy café or navigating business etiquette, where cultural context matters more than perfect grammar.

We utilized a two-pronged approach: qualitative 1-on-1 interviews to gather narrative stories, followed by quantitative surveys to validate findings at scale .
